  1. One of our teachers who teaches the teen class highly recommends Firm Foundations material and the Children's Ministry Resource Bible:

The Firm Foundation series of lessons can be found here: http://www.ntmbookstore.com/bible-studies-s/1814.htm

The Children's Ministry Resource Bible is put out by Child Evangelism Fellowship: https://cefpress.com/Children-s-Ministry-Resource-Bible.html

New Tribes Mission also has the Firm Foundations lessons at www.ntmbooks.com.
  2.  Child Evangelism Fellowship is one of our favorites for flannels and lesson plans. www.cefonline.com
  3.  www.biblicaldiscipleship.org has the wonderful Incredible Creatures videos.
  4.  www.answersingenesis.org  The Answers in Genesis website.
  5.  www.icr.org   Incredible Creatures DVDs are also available at the Institute for Creation Research (ICR).
  6. Nest Entertainment has good videos with coloring books that go along with the story

  7.  We all like Standard Publishing material.  Below is a note from one of our teachers:
The coloring books we like and use are Bible Stories to Color and Tell illustrated by Len Ebert, Standard Publishing (www.standardpub.com) and Bible Story Coloring Pages illustrated by Chizuko Yasuda, published by Gospel Light. Both are reproducible.
  8.  www.goodseed.com  (GoodSeed International) Stranger on the Road to Emmaus is a great book.
  9.  ABEKA curriculum – they have great large picture cards for Bible lessons. The artwork is fantastic. You order ABEKA materials through Pensacola College.

  10.  When I taught the days of creation I brought books from the public library on mammals, plants, stars, solar system, birds, ocean creatures, dinosaurs, dragons, etc. I used these for pictures (which the kids loved) and we talked about "kinds" and also I would sometimes read a statement "billions of years ago" "big bang", etc.; and we would discuss it. I think this helped them to connect what they were learning at church with what they see in school, at home on TV, etc.  I also purchased (less than $5) a solar system poster at a teacher supply store. I used this as a picture when we talked about Day 4. Same thing could be done with books about cultures, races, languages for lesson on Tower of Babel.
  11.  Book: Big Thoughts for Little Thinkers – This is a series that teaches the Trinity, Scripture, and the Gospel to small children. The author is a DTS grad and these might be worth purchasing.
  12.  Book: Big Truths for Young Hearts, by Bruce Ware. Heard about this on the radio and thought it might be worth checking out regarding training children and/or recommending to parents for teaching their kids at home. You can preview the contents, intro, and chapter 1 at Crossway, but Amazon has the better price.

Equips parents to guide their young children through all major doctrines in an understandable, chapter-a-day format.

Sure, it’s easy to teach your children the essentials of Christian theology when you’re a theology professor. But what about the rest of us?

With Big Truths for Little Hearts, Bruce Ware (you guessed it!) a theology professor, encourages and enables parents of children 6–14 years of age to teach through the whole of systematic theology at a level their children can understand. Parents can teach their children the great truths of the faith and shape their worldviews early, based on these truths.

The book covers ten topics of systematic theology, devoting several brief chapters to each subject, making it possible for parents to read one chapter per day with their children. With this non-intimidating format, parents will be emboldened to be their children’s primary faith trainers—and perhaps learn a few things themselves along the way.
